What is THCa?

THCa (Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in raw and unheated cannabis. It is the precursor to THC (the compound responsible for cannabis' psychoactive effects). THCa does not produce a "high" in its natural state.

When THCa is exposed to heat (through smoking, vaping, or cooking), it undergoes decarboxylation and converts into THC.
